Why Sister Tanks?

ATA 103 requires fuel to settle for a minimum of 1 hour per foot of product height before dispensing. With two tanks, one can settle while the other is in service, providing continuous fuel availability.

How It Works

Purpose

Epoxy tank lining provides a smooth, non-reactive surface for Jet A storage. Prevents rust scale formation that could contaminate fuel and clog filters.

Purpose

The inlet diffuser reduces turbulence during tank filling by spreading the incoming fuel flow. This minimizes disturbance to settled fuel and water at the tank bottom.

Purpose

The floating suction draws fuel from just below the surface where it is cleanest. Water and sediment sink to the bottom; the floating suction stays above them.

Overview

The Blackmer GX3 is a sliding vane positive displacement pump providing consistent flow regardless of system pressure. Standard for aviation fuel systems requiring 240 GPM flow rates.

Purpose

Overview

The remote dispenser cabinet is located at the fueling pad, away from the tank farm. Underground piping connects the tank farm to the cabinet for direct aircraft fueling.
