Alternative Fuel Tanks

Storage System Considerations
 | Compatability |
Many industry standard components are not compatible with bio
diesel and ethanol blends. Aluminum must be nickel plated from the
nozzle to the pump, drop tubes overfill valves, meters, etc. Stainless
should be substituted for the fill adaptor as nickel plating would
wear. Buna Nitrile Rubber seals should be avoided, viton is best.
| Water |
Good News is these fuels like to absorb water which saves you from
dewatering the tank bottom. Bad news is these fuels like to absorb
water which should be filtered to maintain compliance with ASTM
standards on retail dispensing.
